My fav part about the comments are the people complaining that the players that are killing them (ie: playing plunderstorm how it is meant to be played) are considered sweaty pvp nerds lol
Finally I am done with Plunderstorm! Strongly dislike it coz I am not pvp player!
I hate pvp and battle royale style games. But Im not a "scaredy cat" cause of that.I avoid people when I can, if they pick a fight, I try to fight back if I cant run away.I want the mounts, so I do the event, thats all there is to it.If people hate it SO much, dont play. You dont play, you dont get your rewards.
I have fun when I'm left to my own devices. What kills the joy for me is that a proper PVPer's instinct is to kill whatever moves... even if the match is not yet half a minute old. Surely they must know that if I have literally not yet picked up a single item, then my death isn't worth much?
I never post on these, but I just really gotta put it out there that in its current state this just does not feel fun. I like the rewards but it feels like a chore even just going for one level a day. The items aren't balanced and it feels bad when you almost kill someone just for them to alt-f4 and not get any of the loot, putting you behind. It was a cool idea in theory to have this be a secret release, but truthfully something like this needed testing. It just doesn't feel fun to play, and the rep grind feels so slow that it almost doesn't feel worth it.
As a collector of collectibles, and avid non-PvP enthusiast, I got most of your recommendations going in naturally after a few games, but there are many worthwhile pointers and bits of advice in this article, worth the read!
I actually like this mode and support Blizzard for trying new things this late in the game's lifecycle. Two things I wish they'd change: drop the FOMO bait and keep the rewards constrained to Plunderstorm. Let people who enjoy this mode earn their own unique rewards, without having 200k PVE target dummies that are only there for the retail mounts. I know why FOMO happens so often in this game, but it's not fooling most people, and it's anti-player even if it's pro-game.
Lol at this guide even existing as well as the audacity of literally insulting the target audience in the title of the piece.Truly, the work leveraged to pump Plunderstorm and try to shoehorn people into it is a circus with more entertainment value than a lot WoW's recently released content. I applaud the show!
