Anyone know what to do in the last part of the quest?

The final treasure you're looking for is high up at the bloody lake where Garnia lives. (Coords: 64.5 - 27.5)

To get there use the Albatross Taxi Service: Move to 33.3 - 55.3 (the entrance of Celestial arena). Once there, check the sky and wait for a Highwind Albatross arriving. Hit the bird once then press Escape to stop autoattack. It will pick you up to the sky and transport above the whole isle.
At 64.5 - 27.5 above the Ruby Lake (the reddish tarn on the map) begin to attack your Albatross again. The bird will instantly dive and releases you as you kill it. Swim out of the red pool and go up to the tree. You'll find the final treasure right there.

The outdated method Voxxel linked to is still effective, I used it today. However, for those that have no idea about what this albatross taxi service is (like me) I can add some clarification. The npc you're looking for is the Highwind Albatross. Attack it once and it will descend (and possibly melee you once or twice) and pick you up. At this point you stop attacking it and it will fly you around the isle. To get down you attack (it stops moving at once) and kill it. I~~t's important to note that it doesn't descend while you are killing it, so if you're high off the ground and you don't have any kind of slow fall you will take falling damage~~.
Update: As of today (8/8/13) the bird will descend almost all the way and you will only take around 10-15k falling damage.

If you are feral, make sure you shift first, otherwise you stuck in human form auto attack only during bird fight like me

careful if your wearing the melee dps legendary, the proc seems to turn the bird hostile once it picks you up and it wont fly you around.

Here's an albatross-free method:

I went to the north east edge of the isle's coast--close to the red lake--and swam out just far enough to leave the zone into the Time-Lost Waters zone. Fatigue should set in, but you'll have plenty of time to summon a flying mount and get high up in the air (the Temporal Anomaly buff may not drop, but I was able to fly anyhow). Then fly towards the lake. You'll get dismounted as you re-enter the zone, but you can use some form of slow fall (I used my incredibly handy Goblin Glider) to float the rest of the way in.

Be careful at the pickup area - I have had my gull ganked twice as I was picked up... Anyone can attack it and if so - it will stop it's flight and attack. So make sure you are clear to fly when you attack or forget it...

I completed all of the stages of the quest (turned in) but the quest is still in log undone. and no chest to complete it again. Can it maybe be done again?

Today I was able to reach it by touching the statue of the crane (on the last "island" before the bridge to Ordos's sanctuary proper), then using my Goblin Glider for forward propulsion towards the red lake. Once you are up there you can simply climb counter-clockwise around the edge to the tree at the top, where the chest is.

Make sure not to use AoE abilities when you trying to kill albatross, if another one flying right next to you. They will start tossing you around like a bag of rise and eventually 3rd albatross will finally take you away from your target :)

Part 1: Go straight west from the celestial court, u will encounter a small patch of tiles with some pillars around them between two boulders. The first part is behind one of the pillars.

Part 2: Go to the northwesternish part of the map(North and slightly easy of Huo'jin landing, up the path to the little plateu there). Its behind the two stone columns near the back.

Part 3: Hop on an albatross. Wait forever. Get shot down 2-3 times by noobs. Take break from computer. Try -not- to throw keyboard out window. Finally login at 1am, take albatross all the way to the Ruby lake(It is a lake, and it is red on your map. You can't miss it.). Jump in there, so you don't die from fall damage or something silly.. walk up the grassy side past the small tree. The chest is behind the large tree on the northern part of the lake. Enjoy your free loot.

Here is another albatross-free method. Right now, on my realm, both hostile and friendly players are interfering with the albatross rides, so I figured this one out. My main is an engineer, so I was able to use the goblin glider. But for non-engineer characters that don't have slow fall, you can purchase a golden glider from Ku Mo for 2500 timeless coins.

Swim to the edge of the zone until fatigue sets in, fly up high enough, begin flying towards the ruby lake, when you dismount, engage the golden glider, just watch your glide path. Voila!

I notic that there can be some trolls that kills the Albatross so you can't get to the tersure.. But if you have Slow Fall or Goblin Glider, try to fly as high as you can from jade forest to timeless isle and the second you dissmount, use the spell and you will end up untop of the whaterfall :) I tryd it with goblin glider and it worked. A tip for mages when useing slow fall, when you are right above the blood pool, use blink, for me it will stop your airmovement with slow fall.

Beware - If you stand next to the last hand-in of this quest chain at the ruby lake too long, you get bolted off even if you hadn't hit complete quest yet! Just had to get me a new albatross because of it. Possibly a bug, or just Blizzard trolling us.

UPDATE: Finally succeeded in this. Turns out there was a hunter there using glyphed explosive trap to throw people off. Also had a friend be MC'ed off. So beware of griefers.

Here is a novel way to get back. Run towards the Ordon Sanctuary Walls, mount up and float into the walled area, I used a feather.

You are kicked out of the area with the message 'Without the protection of the Celestials you are forcibly ejected from Ordos' temple'

You land up squarely back where you left off, at 34, 55, the entrance to the Celestial Arena!

Until you get the cloak, but hey...

One of the closest locations:
The Highwind Albatroz seabird starts to become targetable at exactly 37,57 inside the celestial court (in-line with NPC Galu Wellspring) giving you a 1.5 yard advantage to make a ranged hit before the players located at the stairs can.

I didn't see it listed or mentioned anywhere oh HOW this quest is picked up. Perhaps one of you could enlighten me on how to get this quest? I was thinking that perhaps it was just a matter of finding the chest, but that seemed too simple. Thanks...

Part 2 is at back of Three-Breeze Terrace, 34,26. You can get around the side of all the elites without aggro no problem.

The entrance road is one way to get the bird but usually has a person it's already carrying. The Albatross spawn point is here.

I found my starting quest item from a dirt mound near a beach on the west shoreline, but i think they can be picked up from a lot of dirt mounds, not just a specific one.

As its been said by others, the best place to attack the Albatross for transportation is the northern part of Mossgreen Lake (26,64). They descend a good distance around this area.

However, you do not need any sort of slow fall or what-have-you. If you start dps on your Albatross while being carried it will stop dead in its tracks, and if you stop dps it will continue along its path. The bird will drop you when it dies (you and your "taxi" will fall together). This will give you more than one opportunity to gauge your landing area. It's simple to just fall into the middle of Ruby Lake (around 65, 26). If its done right, the lake water will do what its always done and stop any damage taken from the fall. Just make sure you stay leery of Garnia: he or she is hostile.

Around the southeast part of Ruby Lake there is an incline that you will be able to casually walk along counter-clock-wise up to the treasure. Good luck!

P.S.: Make sure you don't attack/kill one that is already carrying someone or you will catch some well-deserved nerd rage.

P.P.S.: Don't be scared. It's actually very simple and you will want to do this for the treasures and battle pets you'll see.

to get to last clue at the Ruby Lake (66, 26) you can use a Highwind Albatross at the celestial grounds (best place to wait is on the right side of the steps 35, 56) just wait for one to be low enough for you to be able to hit it then stop attacking , it will then pick you up and fly you round the island (It's a bit of a slow ride). Attacking it while riding it will make it stop in mid air, you will probably find it easier to knock most of it's hp off before you get to the red lake leaving just enough for 1 or 2 hits. if you haven't been on an Highwind Albatross before you will also notice you pass a chest on the peak of one of the hills (26, 64) there is also another chest after the red lake (28, 35) .

There is also a rare spawn up at the point where the last cluse is called Garnia which drops a pet, SO GET TO THAT FARMING BOY!

I'm not sure if this is new, but I was helping a friend on my Druid get to the last clue and discovered that I was forced out of kitty form and not allowed to shapeshift while being flown around. This makes it extremely difficult to kill the bird as a feral druid!

In case anyone else was having this problem... when I first ran my main through the timeless isle I picked up the quest item on the 3rd or 4th pile of glinting sand I opened. However, while running my rogue through today, it did not drop until I opened the 30th odd pile. So persistence pays off, and in the meantime you get 1-5 timeless coins each time.

I didn't see anyone point this out, so here is my $0.02. Not sure if they have changed anything but to get to the second clue, you'll have to take a death. Mooklik is wrong and maybe stealth would be the exception. Actually I ended up dying four times as I tried four slightly-different ways to get to the clue, including barreling right through the middle of all those friendly people. I was convinced there had to be a way to get to the clue without blowing away all your hard-earned buffs. But there's plenty of room to rez and pick up the second clue. The actual location is 34.55, 26.58, at the northern tip of the Three-Breeze Terrace - a little mound of dirt behind a boulder.

Plan on a swim afterwards unless you've become a member of the Cult of Ordos during your visit to the underworld.

So what do you do if you abandon the second part? How do you get it back? I've searched all over and cant find anything!

EDIT: Figured it out, just pick up the glinting sand thingys till you loot the quest again.

I used my Azure Water Strider to walk around to the back of the island near the quest item, rode the mount out into the Time-less Waters, then mounted a flying mount. When I was dismounted I used a Golden Glider and just circled around the lake until I landed. No damage at all. Good luck everyone!

I noticed that a lot of motorcycle riders are able to jump across the span of broken bridge. Not sure what they are doing as my non-moto mounts will not make it.

After like ten deaths I decided to use noggenfogger to make the albatross-free leap. Worked like a charm- just click off the buff when over the water. ;D

Would be quite nice if the armor you get as a quest reward was a token, so that you could Burden it if you wanted, as opposed to a finished piece.

I did something that was actually quite easier than the albatross method, but a little more to do with a slight little bit of luck and 1000 timeless coins.

There's a statue called the Gleaming Crane Statue that pretty much just launches you in the air to grab a box or two, but instead of box grabbing, I set myself to go towards the ruby lake (red lake on your map) and used a glider at the apex, peak, of the launch. You should start gliding towards the lake, just make sure to cancel both the glider and the slow fall that the statue gives you. It's the highest little "hill" with a tree on it that you want to aim for (shown in the screenshots).

You can get the gliders from little Ku-Mo in The Celestial Court for 1000 timeless coins.

I found this method to be easier than trying your luck at an albatross; since other ranged players can kill them, sending your character down to their death.

This is for mages who catch an albatross ride and decide to drop in on the chest on top of the first mountain: You need to start shooting at your bird before you get to the edge of the mountain top. The short space while you are casting will let the bird creep forward, and it will not be over the mountain top by the time you kill it. Ideally, you want your first shot to hit just as you get to the near edge of the mountain top. And then don't stop casting until it drops you. FYI: When I looted the chest, a set of Timeless Plate Boots dropped. Luckily, I had a warrior alt who needed them, and they were account bound, so no problem.

These actually drops/creates for neck as well, so they probably drop rings too.
Took the mail one for my Hunter, and the neck dropped.

A couple of things I found out, while being carried by the bird;
>Warlocks can't go into metamorphosis,
>you can't summon a demon,
>the demon you had on the ground does not follow you on to the bird, neither does any imps... your on your own big boy
oh yeah, you can cast soul stone, incase you miss or don't do demonic leap with falling meteor (you can cast it while in the birds beak)

For Hunters, on the Final Treasure, choosing to fall into the lake, Disengage works in mid-air as you're falling. I had to use it on my third attempt. It will buy you a few feet.

FYI if you are a melee warrior stand at the stairs look to the right of the Celestial Court when the albatross bird come your way hit it with heroic throw and it will pick you up and then when you reach the pool attack it to drop you chest is on the hilltop behind the tree omg if I had more info when I started it wouldn't of taking me 2 hrs to finish it!

As of Legion it's pretty easy to get up there without the birds.

Buy a Goblin Glider Kit from the Auction House.

Run up the the road (Blazing Way) all up to the Crane statue. (it's right after you cross the bridge on left hand side).
Click the statue.
You will get an option to "touch the statue".
After been shot into mid-air, clear the buff by right clickin it.

EDIT: You have to clear the buff, otherwise your glider will be slowed down and you won't make it to the top of the hill!

Immediately after clearing the buff deploy your Goblin Glider Kit and glide to the Ruby Lake on top of the mountain (North East).

Don't make the same mistake I made: complete the 2nd clue quest first! Rolo's Riddle
If you don't, the treasure will not unlock.

Good god, I hate this quest. I've tried repeatedly to get the attn of the Albatoss'es. I can stand right next to them, and get the error "invalid target". The same when they're in flight. I'm a subtly rogue so "Shuriken" is my only ranged attack, I think this is going to be one I just let go of.

For people wondering how to START-start this whole quest line for the Rolo achievement: look for "gleaming sand" piles along the western shore of Timeless Isle (if you've ever farmed dirt piles in Pandaria, you know what these are, only smaller). I started south near the Alliance camp, then made my way to the very north end of the west coast, past the Horde camp. Easily spotted 10+ piles, and got the questline line drop on the very last one. (There may be more piles along other coasts with sand, but didn't need to check any out.)
