Argent Tournament Guide v2.0 (or 3.2?)
This guide is a continuation of the old
Argent Tournament Guide
. The
Secrets of Ulduar
brought us quite an event - quests, daily quests, unique rewards, Seals system...and now the
Call of the Crusade
expands that. Most of the 3.2 content requires you to have obtained the title Crusader through
Exalted Argent Champion of the Alliance
or
Exalted Argent Champion of the Horde
, while the others only need you to be Exalted with either
The Sunreavers
or
The Silver Covenant
. If you are new to the Argent Tournament, please visit the first part of the guide for details, guides and detailed explanation of the mechanics, quests and rewards.

The Return of Onyxia—Patch 3.2.2
That's right—
Onyxia
will be making her return in Patch 3.2.2, scheduled to be released in honor of World of Warcraft's fifth anniversary!
To give you a basic rundown, Blizzard's plans are
Converting
Onyxia's Lair
into a level 80 raid, with both 10 and 25 man modes.
Changing the current loot to par with its level 60 version to a level 80 version. Presumably, there will be a loot table for both 10 and 25 man modes.
Adding a flying mount with 310% flying speed named
Reins of the Onyxian Drake
to the loot table. Modeled after Onyxia itself, the mount is expected to have a low drop rate.
Changing to the level of difficulty so that it scales from its difficulty at level 60 to level 80. This means those who enjoyed Onyxia's challenge should not see a change in difficulty—essentially, it just scales up to level 80!
But that's not all! Once the fifth anniversary of WoW begins, players who log on during this time will receive a limited edition pet named , similar to how players who logged on during the fourth anniversary received a
Baby Blizzard Bear

Ozzy Osbourne Rocks Blizzcon
Hail, brothers and sisters! If you are reading this, you are either just curious about what's going on (which is fine), or you have the fiery blood of one who listens to rock and metal. Which is even better for this announcement, for you are about to receive a grand facemelt.
Remember the Tauren Chieftains? Also known as Level 60 Elite Tauren Chieftains and L70ETC? The guys that show up at Blizzcon every now and then and perform a WoW-themed rock song like
I am Murloc!
? Well, if you liked them, chances you are going to like this - Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness, one who
challenged the Lich King
himself for that title... This very man is going to perform live on Blizzcon 2009! Links below, full announcement - after the break, as usual.

Official 3.2 Thread!
Double Edit:
That'll teach me to try going out to dinner on patch day! Blizzard has
confirmed
that faction restrictions on PvP servers have been removed, apparently as part of their transition into offering a
Faction Change
service. The post is here:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=19110291048&sid=1
Edit:
So an interesting article on
WoW.com
indicates that faction restrictions on pvp servers are currently disabled, and users can now create characters of any faction on a pvp server, no matter what characters they already have. No word yet on whether this is intentional—it certainly isn't in the patch notes.
So here's the official thread, y'all! 3.2 is today!
Here then, is a centralized location—to discuss changes, express your irritation at the nerfs, or to rail at Blizzard for not being able to get their serve

Priest Q&A with Ghostcrawler
It looks like
Illidan Stormrage
was
right—I am not prepared! Who would have guessed Blizzard would release two Q&As in one day? ;)
One of my favorite parts of the interview is that Blizzard's considering removing the "backlash" from
if the target is within "
" range. The other part is that Blizzard wants to make Shadow talents that improve the overall damage of Shadow Priests, so that their damage is not penalized in cases where DoTs are useless. But enough chit-chat—let's get to the interview!

Rogue Q&A with Ghostcrawler
Much like the rogue class itself, Blizzard decided to be pretty sneaky and release the Rogue Q&A as one of the last class Q&As. Maybe they used some rouge to hide it? :D
For the most, I enjoyed reading the interview. I like that Blizzard admitted that a few aspects are in need of a fix, and that they defended a few decisions which negatively affected rogues. My favorite part of the interview was about
Vanish
and its current functionality—but have a look for yourself! You can read the entire interview after the break, or read the original one linked below:

Q&A Crusaders' Coliseum + Isle of Conquest
Looks like the class Q&A were popular enough to make Blizzard create non-class Q&A as well :) I don't know about you, but I feel better seeing that all those questions we ask on the forums are being read, and some of them - even answered. Publicly.
This time it's a combined Q&A about the
Crusaders' Coliseum
(the new 5-, 10-, and 25-man dungeons) and the
Isle of Conquest
(the new Battleground).
I myself didn't find a terrible lot of new information in this Q&A, but it helps to see all those thing put together by somebody from Blizzard. Follow the link to the WoW-Europe forums, or read on to find out what
Ancilorn
has to tell us:

Strategist: Auriaya
The
Archivist of Ulduar, Auriaya
unfortunately bears no resemblance to the
Archivist
in Diablo III.
Actually, scratch that. Sonic Screech looks like
Lorenado
,
Quest Bolt
makes me think of Sentinel Blast, and
Shush
is kind of like Terrifying Screech. But
ANYWAY
...
I have found myself with some time in my hands, and nothing in particular to do, so I thought I'd put another Strategist together. Hoping that somebody actually reads and uses these... ;)
Also, before I actually start writing, I will have you know that this boss is actually rather hard for my guild. I think we might be doing something wrong - it's not that the strategy doesn't work, it's just messy.

MMOs: Not Just For Kids!
So here I was, reading through the official forums, when I found a thread that looked interesting. I'll spare you the unnecessary details of the thread, but the person who wrote the thread claimed to have been eighty-eight-years-old when it was written back in April of this year. You read it correctly—an
eighty-eight
year old, and I'm not even kidding.
That thread reminded me of an experience I had back while I was leveling my paladin during Burning Crusade. Intriguing? Read on!

Strategist: Kologarn
*mutters darkly*
Slow internet, sitting out of raids this week, poor weather for going out... Which means more Strategists this week!
A little known fact about
Kologarn
- Brann Bronzebeard wiped on him. So you better read carefully and not repeat the dwarven explorer's mistake. In addition to this, Kologarn is a mandatory boss, whom you need to kill in order to reach the Keepers' sanctums. And then Yogg-Saron. His dead body will become the bridge to the Observation Ring, and Ulduar's archivist - Auriaya. Body crafted personally by Ignis the Furnace Master, who hopefully lies dead by his forge by the time you get to Kologarn. You are quite a decimating group of raiders, aren't you? :)

Blizzard Responds to Extended Maintenance and Instance Problems
We all know the drill. Wake up late on Tuesday morning. Shower. Eat a bowl of Frosted Mini-Wheats. Go to work/school. And then whenever you get the time, log onto some site devoted to WoW and gripe about maintenance. And what's worse than maintenance? Extra-maintenance!
Well it looks like Blizzard has had a very good reason for it all—all that extended maintenance you've been experiencing is going to pay off! Basically, Blizzard has been looking into the problems that players have been experiencing with servers and instances and they are trying to fix these problems. The extended maintenance has been caused by this. Read the official Blizzard post

Strategist: Assembly of Iron
Well, I did earn
The Siege of Ulduar
, did I not? Made an entry for each one of the Siege bosses, that I did. Made me wonder how adequate the term "siege" is, when the only Expedition forces are in the base camp and around Razorscale - looks we've been
storming
Ulduar, not besieging it. But that's just my thoughts :)
So this time it's the
Assembly of Iron

the Iron Council
'. The three Iron Generals represent each of the iron races in the Iron Army (they also love iron).
Steelbreaker
, the biggest and physically strongest of them all, is an Iron Giant with colossal strength.
Runemaster Molgeim
is an Iron Vrykul, who has mastered the art of rune magic.
Stormcaller Brundir
is an Iron Dwarf with a master's touch in the lightning magic, who hates being mocked for his height.
The Assembly of Iron has taken residence in the left wing of the Antechamber of Ulduar, j

Strategist: XT-002 Deconstructor
Time to deconstruct another boss' strategy! Har har har!
I love silly jokes. They make me... silly. But it's true -
XT-002 Deconstructor
is the subject of today's Strategist. Similarly to the other Ulduar bosses, not a whole lot is known XT, other than the fact that he is the last boss in the Siege of Ulduar, he is a mandatory fight, and his voice is the single reason people wipe on him.
XT-002 is located in the Scrapyard, between the Formation Grounds and the Antechamber of Ulduar. He is another one of
Mimiron
's creations, whom XT considers to be his father. Hence the boyish voice, the diligent exercise and dutiful guard. You need to defeat XT in order to proceed further in Ulduar, even if you skip the optional Ignis and Razroscale. The Deconstructor also has a hard mode.
And now, skipping over the break, let's take a look at He-who-does-not-drop-my-

Hunter Q&A with Ghostcrawler
This Q&A was more adventurous than the others. Just as we spotted it, it was pulled off the official forums (and website, if it ever made it there).
MMO-Champion
still had it though, so we used their version - you can find the source over at their
Blue Tracker
. I personally expect changes to be made to the original Q&A (which is what you see here), hence the pulling off. Keep an eye on the thread, we'll try to post the updated version, if there is one, as soon as we can.
Looks like everything is alright with the Q&A now. You can find the source under the quote, after the break (through nine mountains in the tenth, through nine rivers...). The
last question
in the quote was not there before - it's the only new thing.
This time it's Hunter. Remember how I was happy about the Druid one because my next alt would be a druid? Well, the alt I am currently leveling is a
