Hmmm, I might look in to that.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
It's like Runescape where you can be a member or play free? Urghh, that kind of ruined it for me just now.
sounds interesting, ill check it out
Ugh, you could at least warn us about the gratuitous fairy-taleness before posting a link. I feel violated after seeing those little cute fairies with huge eyes. Not to mention the disturbingly endearing goblin.I mean I'm an open-minded person so I don't mind that some people are into that stuff, but I just don't want it popping up right in front of my face.
From the intro it seems very tweenie, but that's cool. Something for the kids to play, since it's free, and it looks like it could be interesting and fun. It may be worth checking out for those people who have kids of an appropriate age... In mean it's ESRB rating is 10+ so I'm not sure what people were expecting. 8)
in before RS 2.0
It seems very simple to sign up and use, although there is one thing that I have to wonder about. What are the limitations of a free account as opposed to a membership account that you pay $4.99 per month for specifically? In many cases you find that F2P games with this sort of model put strict restrictions on the free accounts that make it almost like a "free trial" experience where you can't really get much enjoyment out of the game without actually spending money on it...
Can't hurt trying it out, at least. If only, just for a couple minutes.
I remember laughing at gnomes when WOW was in beta and before the SWG revamp saying to my friends, "I'll never play that silly game!" Look what happened: I am playing the game AND still laughing at cute little pink, pig-tailed gnomes...aaaah!
I signed up and I'll try it out tomorrow. I guess you're right when you say it can't hurt to try.
Yea...NO.
I've been in beta with it, it's fun in it's way. Lots of mini games, but definitely family/kid oriented or for someone completely new to MMO's a good way to get their feet wet.
Well, it IS aimed at a younger audience. As I said, it's not exactly a competitor for WoW. But a few voices I trust (one of them being Alla himself) have had a lot of fun playing it.Alla told me at one point—he obviously has to play basically all MMOs as they come out. But Free Realms is the first one in a LONG time where he hasn't felt like he was playing because he HAD to. For once he just lost track of time and enjoyed the game.Aimed towards kids or not, I still fully intend to try it. I also own a Wii. Is that made just for kids too? :)
